The TLS team had the privilege of experiencing the Iftar at Layali Ramadan Tent, nestled amidst the tranquil gardens of Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah. The invitation promised an evening of delicacies and a celebration of Ramadan spirit, and it certainly delivered.
As the sun dips below the horizon, this tent becomes a sanctuary for those seeking to break their fast in a beautiful and indulgent setting.
Upon entering the tent, we were greeted by a sumptuous buffet boasting over 100 exquisite dishes from International and Arabic cuisines. There is an impressive spread that includes hot Arabic mezze and cold sushi, as well as live cooking stations which added an interactive element, allowing us to witness the magic firsthand. The cooking stations had options of saj, pasta, shawarma, BBQ and much more. With the aroma of lamb ouzi engulfing our senses, leading to a feast of main courses and desserts that left our taste buds tingling with delight.
For those in need of refreshment, men circulate offering coffee and drinks, including refreshing options like tamarind juice.
Adding to the ambiance is the live music and entertainment, featuring captivating performances by Oud and Tabla players who played renditions of Arabic classics such as Nour El Ein and Ya Tabtab. Their tunes infused the air with an aura of tradition and festivity, enriching the dining experience and creating moments that added to the charm of our Iftar. It really created an atmosphere of joy and unity that truly embodied the spirit of Ramadan.
In terms of pricing, the Iftar was reasonably priced, with weekday rates at AED 245 per person and weekend rates at AED 260 per person. The generous discount for children makes it a family-friendly affair, ensuring that everyone can partake in the festivities.
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. From the exquisite cuisine to the enchanting ambiance, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a memorable and heartwarming evening. It’s a celebration of tradition, community, and the spirit of giving – all embodied in a single Iftar experience.
