BMW Unveils Limited-Edition 7 Series Suhail Edition in Riyadh, Inspired by Arabian Stars

BMW Middle East has unveiled one of its most exclusive 7 Series interpretations to date, the Suhail Edition, a limited release of just 50 cars globally and the first unit now officially arrived in Saudi Arabia. Presented against the desert landscape of Riyadh, the model draws inspiration from the Suhail star, an astronomical reference deeply embedded in Arabian history and navigation culture. Positioned as a tribute to legacy and innovation, the edition blends regional symbolism with BMW Individual’s most bespoke craftsmanship.

According to BMW, the Suhail Edition is designed for connoisseurs who value meaning and beauty just as much as engineering. The exterior features BMW’s crystal headlights and the glowing kidney grille signature, paired with a two-tone combination of Oxid Grey metallic and Night Blue metallic, a visual nod to the celestial theme. The palette continues seamlessly indoors, where Night Blue accents, embroidered Suhail constellation motifs, and BMW Sky Lounge lighting give the cabin a narrative quality rather than a purely decorative one.

Inside, BMW Individual takes centre stage. The cabin is wrapped in Merino leather with Taupe Grey/Night Blue elements, oak mirror-finish wood, and metallic high-gloss detailing, creating an atmosphere that feels closer to a private studio lounge than a traditional luxury sedan interior. Rear passengers experience BMW’s Executive Lounge setup, a format that includes reclining seats and the immersive 31.3-inch 8K Theatre Screen that turns film viewing into a moving cinema moment.

Technology, as expected, remains a defining piece of the proposition. Operating System 8.5 powers the curved display and supports voice and gesture control, while BMW ConnectedDrive integrates smart navigation and remote vehicle functions through the My BMW App.

Only 50 units exist worldwide making this not merely another special edition, but one of BMW’s most limited cultural tributes to the region. With the first Suhail Edition now in the Kingdom, the question will likely not be whether demand exists but who in the GCC will secure the remaining pieces of this star-inspired story before they disappear.
