Emirati Women’s Day stands as a testament to their remarkable achievements and unwavering resilience across diverse domains, spanning technology, education, art, entrepreneurship, and the realm of fashion.

In the realm of luxury, Emirati women have carved a distinct niche, not only through their impeccable style but also their ventures as entrepreneurs. Recognized as significant tastemakers in the region, their unique fashion sensibilities have left an indelible impact on a global scale.

This Emirati Women’s Day, let’s shine a light on six influential women in luxury, whose journeys are worth following:

ASMA AL FAHIM

Asma Al Fahim is an Emirati entrepreneur and founder of Villa 88 magazine, one of the most prominent luxury publications in the region. The publication regularly spotlights the stories of Emirati women who are transforming different fields with their creativity. She is also a member of the Conde Nast Traveler Global Advisory Board. Additionally, she is the Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Businesswoman Council and spearheads numerous initiatives aimed at female entrepreneurs.

JAWAHER AL SUWAIDI

Emirati influencer, designer and entrepreneur Jawaher Al Suwaidi is known for her ultra-chic style combining both traditional and modern elements. Al Suwaidi is also the founder of luxury accessories brand By Jawaher. Founded in 2012, the brand offers a selection of unique pieces of jewellery that take inspiration from Emirati culture and is aimed at women who are unafraid to take risks and make a statement.

MTHAYEL AL ALI

Mthayel Al Ali is an Emirati Entrepreneur and Influencer known for her impeccable style and her work within the content creation and fashion spaces through her agency Takhayyal, her podcast Ara, as well her jewellery line Ce. She primarily shares inspirational content on her page, alongside stylish outfit pics. Al Ali is also an outspoken advocate for women empowerment and strives to build a platform and community that is centered around the same.

ASMA AL MATROOSHI

Asma Al Matrooshi is an Emirati fashion designer and co founder of the brand Epiphany. Epiphany’s sartorial repertoire features traditional abayas in pastel hues, evening wear, loungewear, amongst others. The brand centers fluidity and simplicity. Al Matrooshi’s personal style also combines fluid traditional wear with luxury pieces and her platform showcases her unique personal style.

HALA AL GERGAWI

 

Hala Al Gergawi is hailed as a changemaker within the luxury space in the UAE. The entrepreneur is the founder of one of the first luxury consultancies in the region, known as Tea Before Noon (TBN) creating unique luxury brand experiences for the region. Al Gergawi also founded Elevenish.com , an ecommerce platform featuring curated products from local designers. Al Gergawi is passionate about empowering Emirati women and strives to do the same across all her entrepreneurial ventures.

LATIFA AL SHAMSI

Latifa Al Shamsi is a prominent fashion influencer and entrepreneur, and was one of the first fashion bloggers in the region. She is known for her elegant personal style. Al Shamsi is also the co-founder of her own events company specializing in retail events.
