Haute Perfumerie Henry Jacques’ newest Collection De L’atelier is reminiscent of an eternal and timeless symbol of love and beauty, the rose. Significant to Henry Jacques’ own journey, Collection de l’Atelier, features fragrances developed from the perfumers own rose harvest, grown in their Atelier located in the South of France. An ode to the elusive yet captivating nature of the flower, this collection is limited to just 500 pieces and will never be recreated. The collection of three perfumes feature two interpretations of the key scent, the HJ Rose de Mai. One that showcases it to the fullest, and others pairing the scent with different types of notes derived from unexpected moments of inspiration.
The first perfume is a celebration of flower’s delicate and warm nature. Rose Soleil features the fragrance HJ Rose de Mai absolute, and is paired with notes of sandalwood, patchouli and ylang-ylang. Aiming to capture the feelings of sparkling joy in a smile from a person who has lived their life to the fullest, it is an ode to recklessness in wisdom. Rose Tres Rose also features the HJ Rose de Mai as the centrepiece, evoking feelings of comfort and fulfilment, of familiar towns and a reminiscence of sense of home. Finishing off the triad, the Rose Azur features woody notes that blend together to create a scent that is complex and rich, and invoking feelings that are divine, celestial, almost liminal.
Each scent is presented in 30ml bottles in Les Essences form, and the collection retails for AED 36,640. Furthermore, later in the year,10 exclusive chests filled with Collection de l’Atelier in 15ml and 30ml Les Essences flacons, for each of the 10 Henry Jacques boutiques.
